About
Me
Scott
Kirkpatrick has been an avid photographer for 30 years and was first
published at the age of 15. He is experienced in a variety of photographic
styles and subject matters, particularly enjoying sports photography
and wildlife. Originally hailing from Nova Scotia where he owned
a studio, he moved to the west coast and honed his skills in the
Lower Mainland and beautiful Vancouver Island for almost two decades.
When he finishes working on a contract with NATO in Afghanistan,
including responsibilities as a combat photographer for COMKAF /
NATO in Kandahar (2008-present), he's ready to settle back home
in Nova Scotia and is happy to be back in the Maritimes again.
Both
classically- and self-taught, Scott has a keen eye and sees beauty
in everything. People are amazed that they can be looking at the
same thing as he is, but miss his unique perspective and perception.
Luckily, he has the talent to capture these images so he can share
with us what he sees.
